Explore a tribute to Hallowwen at the Castle Halloween Museum

Both children and adults love Halloween, but you no longer have to settle for celebrating the holiday only once a year. You can visit the Castle Halloween Museum in Benwood, West Virginia, a tribute to the holiday that so many enjoy, anytime of year. The museum opened in 2005 and has been greeting visitors ever since. Adding to the spookiness, the museum makes its home in an old schoolhouse made of brick that looks like it just might be the home of a ghost or two. You will be able to see a number of different kinds of memorabilia from Halloween, including more than a thousand different costumes. In addition, you can peruse the folk art, figures, postcards, and a whole lot more. The museum has a nice (and growing) collection of work from folk artists, from today and yesterday. Some of the artists whose work can be seen at the museum include Jack Roads and Debbie Thibault. Even if you aren’t a huge fan of Halloween, you will still likely enjoy the nostalgic thrill that many of the items in the museum will bring. Kids and adults will have a good time exploring all of the wonderfully wicked pieces that you can find in the museum.
